What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a fast and efficient approach to skin resurfacing [removal of the top layer of old and dead skin]. It stimulates the production of new skin cells and natural collagen. Microdermabrasion is non-surgical and does not require the use of anesthetics. It is gentle and safe for all types of skin.
How does Microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion works by applying microscopic mineral crystals to your skin. This gently exfoliates the outer keratin layer of the skin, leading to improved tone and texture.
What can I expect from Microdermabrasion?

How long does a Microdermabrasion treatment take?
A typical session takes 30 - 45 minutes. Although you will see results after just one treatment, we recommend that you have at least six treatments (one every two weeks) for long-term results. To ensure continued great skin appearance, monthly maintenance sessions are recommended.
Are there any side effects?
It is rare but there is a small chance that you could have mild and temporary redness or swelling of the treated area.
Will Microdermabrasion work on me?
Yes! It works on all types of skin, and will visibly reduce the appearance of brown spots, sun-damage, and dull and uneven skin tone and texture.
Are there any precautions I should take before the treatment?
There generally are no precautions necessary. However, if you have used Accutane (acne drug) in the past 6 months you should not to have microdermabrasion, as this increases the risk of skin injury and scarring.
Can I go back to work after the treatment?
Yes, you can return to work immediately following the treatment. Some people even have their session done over lunch! As mentioned, there is a small chance you may have some redness afterwards.
What about after treatment skin care?
We recommend that you moisturize often and use sunscreen to prevent drying and peeling of the skin. For best results stay out of the sun for 24 hours following the treatment.
